Art Project - Story Telling

It is said that the defining characteristic between mankind and the animals is the art of speech.

If you think about it the only purpose of speech is to tell story. The answer to every question however short is a story. When we recount what has happened to us however recent or long ago that is story. When we dream into the future or pass on instructions these too are story.

All of us have a story to tell, all of us are a story in progress

Every culture of peoples have their own stories unique to them which show their outlook and perspective on life. Through listening and hearing these stories we can begin to see a little through the eyes of cultures other than our own and take the first step to walking in the shoes of another.

Here you hold a collection of 21 stories from Nigeria , Angola , Uganda , Morocco , and Ireland . They give a glimpse into cultures different from the Irish one while at the same time echoing familiar lessons and truths.

We hope you will enjoy this collection and that it will be the start your own personal collection of stories, from tellers around the world.
