International UN Day 2021
This year Spirasi, Centre for Care of Survivors of Torture, will host an online event to mark the UN International Day in Support of Victims of Torture and the Graduation of our English Language (ESOL) students.
To mark the occasion, we have invited medical doctor Claire Dunne as our keynote speaker. She will be joined by Papy Kahoya member of Spirasi survivor and expert group who will speak about healing through rehabilitation, and Nsiku Mbuta (Level 4 English language student) who will share her experience of learning English. We will hear a poem composed for the day by poet Sarah Clancy written in collaboration with members of the survivors group.
