Befriending-Trinity College
On 17th January 2022, 77 New Foundations awards were made by the Irish Research Council, a substantial number of which involve dedicated civic society partnerships. Spirasi and Trinity College were one of the recipients.
The research has begun and is being led by Professor Rachel Hoare.
Spirasi are delighted to partner with Trinity College on this exciting research project focusing on the impact of our befriending service. Our thanks to the Irish Research Council for funding this research and to our volunteer
befrienders and befriendees for their generous response to our call for participants for the research. A number of focus groups took place in February with more scheduled for late March/early April. We expect to launch an interim report on Saturday 25th June.
